6 february excellent local theatre! (wish i had a foto, but my scanner's not working, & there's nothing i can find online.) QUAKE, written by dell'artian tyler olsen, at the arcata playhouse. from wm.kowinski's review... "Though the basic situation of troubled couple trapped into realizing they still love each other is familiar, the story has some neat and surprising twists. The performances -- dramatic, comic and musical -- by Olsen and Sabata are flawless, charming and convincing. . . Though the show is under an hour long, that it was written and prepared in a few weeks is astonishing and heartening: There's a place for instant theatre." |

2 february a new caravan! well, new to me. it's a '94, just 3 years newer than the old one, but it's in great shape, & it feels like i'm driving a new car. & it's purple! got a really good deal on it, bot it directly from the owner, borrowed from my credit union to pay for it. SO for a year i have loan payments, ugh... |

as part of their 50th anniversary celebration, KHSU produced a live radio show at arcata playhouse. great script, cast, & sound effects.
& great party afterwards!

gavin is in chamber readers & i'm on the board (also emergency backup reader!). we're on shaky ground these days -- trying to figure out how to run it without a dictator, as it has been in the past, & looking for alternative ways to pay for performances, since the schools are so strapped for funds. anyone want to help bring a unique literary experience to school children in humboldt county?
