Janie (the landlady) returned from three weeks in Florida on 06 December. Sister Pamela had sent me a link for a tricycle by Schwinn which was just what I wanted for the girls. A low rider like the Big Wheel trikes of the 1970's. But with soft rubber tires and a steel frame. The Costco in Humboldt had one so I suggested that the Miami Costco might be a good place to look for one. Voila! They had one and she brought one back inside the voluminous baggage that one is required to bring back to Hayti.
Nadia/Nanou showed up that same day from her sojourns down in the Fort Nationale neighborhood with her Maren (godmother). There is a lot of shooting down there, struggles between the Lavalas gangsters and the anti-lavalas gangs. It is a great relief to have Nanou back up here, and the trike is a perfect bonding toy for sisters.
