The weekend of July 20 we took a tour to Cap Haitian and Milot in
the new 15 year old Jeep. We stayed at Hotel Roi Christophe for a luxury touch.
The baby is due in less than two weeks, after all.
Each evening we visited Denny's sidewalk BarBeQue. It used to be known as "All System BBQ" and was located in a big empty lot. That was before the owner of a much richer Lakay paid the mayor of Okap to have his shop bulldozed. Now he uses the sidewalk in front of his house. Until I can rent the downstairs of one of the 200 year old warehouses on the main street, that is.
I picked up Kevin Pina on Saturday morning to visit Milot and talk to the Mayor (Mairie, or majistra) about business opportunities in his lovely ville.
A traffic accident happened just south of town while we were talking and the Jeep was drafted to round up the polis and jistis de paix to go investigate. So, we investigated one of the all too frequent tap tap accidents. Folks went to hospital.
